Installation Instructions
Thread the water inlet & outlet on the tankless water heater with a minimum of 3 wraps of thread tape.
Screw the pressure relief valve onto the 3/4″ threads on the HOT water service valve.
Loosen the 3/4″ union assembly on the hot water valve.
Connect the union assembly on the HOT water valve to the HOT water outlet on the tankless water heater.
Ensure that the union nut is aligned on the valve and that the rubber washer is properly in place.
Tighten the union assembly onto the HOT water side of the valve using approximately 15-foot lbs. of pressure.
Loosen the 3/4″ union assembly on the COLD water valve.
Connect the union assembly on the COLD water inlet on the tankless water heater.
Ensure that the union nut is aligned accurately to the valve and that the upper washer is properly in place.
Tighten the union assembly to the COLD water side of the valve using approximately 15-foot lbs. of pressure.
Connect the INLET on the COLD water valve to the MAIN SOURCE of the water supply.
Connect the OUTLET on the HOT water valve to the HOT water plumbing system.
Ensure that the drain CAP is tightened on the valve.

Cleaning and Flushing Instructions
Check with the manufacturer of your tankless water heater for specific guidelines for installed unit. Pump, hoses, bucket, not included.
Disconnect power to the tankless water heater and shut off the gas valve.
Close the COLD water valve. The BLUE handle should be perpendicular to the valve body. Keep the HOT water valve in the open position. The RED handle should be in-line with the valve body.
Loosen the drain cap. Ensure the washer is secured to the drain cap.
Connect the pump outlet hose to the water drain outlet, the HOT valve drain outlet. Connect the pump inlet hose to the water drain outlet, the COLD valve drain outlet.
Pour 3 to 5 gallons of flushing solution into a bucket.
Place both the pump inlet hose and the HOT valve drain outlet hose into the bucket.
Close the HOT water valve by turning the RED handle 90 degrees. The RED handle should be perpendicular to the valve body.
Turn on the pump and allow the solution to circulate for 20 or 45 minutes depending on the condition of an appliance.
Turn off the pump and open the HOT water valve. The RED handle should be in-line with the valve body.
Remove the hose from the COLD water drain outlet. Tighten the drain cap & ensure that the washer is placed securely on the drain cap.
Remove the pump and hose from the bucket. Dispose of the cleaning solution properly.
Open the COLD water valve. The BLUE handle should be in-line with the valve body. Close the HOT water valve. The RED handle should be perpendicular to the valve body.
Flush the tankless water heater with fresh cold water with at least 20 gallons of clean water.
You will have to empty the bucket several times.
Clean the in-line filter of your tankless heater if required by the manufacturer.
Remove the drain hose. Tighten the drain cap and ensure the washer is placed securely on the drain cap.
Restore power to the tankless water heater and turn on the gas valve.
Open the HOT valves. Handles should be in-line with the valve body.
