Miller Stephenson has changed the look of the new cans and removed specific notes regarding use on metal, plastics, etc. This was done due to various state regulations but did NOT change the chemical composition of the product at all. Our MS-260 Plastic, Glass & Metal Cleaner (General
Purpose Cleaner) has a VOC of 9.8%. The VOC limit for a General Purpose Cleaner
is 8% in CA, UT, DE, and NH so far. The rest of the states have a 10% limit
right now. Other states will be adopting this 2014 OTC Model rule as time goes
on, so their limits for VOC will drop to 8%. The VOC limit for Glass Cleaner in
CA is 10% and the rest of the states are 12%. So, to keep a head of this ruling, Miller Stephenson has decided to call MS-260
Plastic, Glass & Metal Cleaner – “MS-260 Glass Cleaner”. It is exactly the
same formulation but now adheres to multiple state verbiage regulations.
